intro
sooo crispy… you must must try these 🍠✨ the garlic-dill aioli makes them even better
ingredients
sweet potatoes
- Japanese sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
- olive oil
- flaky salt
garlic-dill aioli
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- black pepper, to taste
let's make it
- 01
preheat oven to 400°F
- 02
thinly slice the Japanese sweet potatoes and boil for ~4–5 minutes, until just tender enough to smash
- 03
drain, then gently smash each slice with the bottom of a jar
- 04
spread onto a sheet pan and toss with olive oil + flaky salt
- 05
bake for ~20 minutes, until crispy and golden
- 06
meanwhile, mix together the mayonnaise, dill, garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper
- 07
serve the crispy sweet potatoes with the garlic-dill aioli & enjoy
notes
- — boil them until just tender enough to smash without completely falling apart.
- — give them some space on the sheet pan so the edges can actually crisp up.
